Use organic ingredients when possible

1 x can borlotti beans, drained and rinsed

1 clove garlic, chopped

1/2 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp olive oil

1/2 – 1 tbsp water

1 tbsp nutritional/savoury yeast flakes

sea salt to taste

 

Place all ingredients in a small processor or blender, and process till smooth.

Serve with brown rice crackers or carrot/capsicum/celery sticks.

 

Nutritional Yeast Flakes – are used in vegetarian cooking to give a cheesy type flavour.  The flakes are not an active yeast and are made via a fermentation process from molasses.  They contain B vitamins, selenium, zinc and amino acids.  Ask at your local health food shop for Nutritional or Savoury Yeast Flakes.
